If you did not love Rome or its historical stories, then you probably have not watched the movie Gladiator—because this delight of movie tourism or film-inspired tourism has brewed and is still brewing up a feeling of a great vacation in Rome, Italy.
Just as Julius Caeser, The Sign of the Cross and many more before the Death and Glory movie did. Yes.
Jurassic Park put the spotlight on Hawaii. The Lord of the Rings trilogy put New Zealand on the spotlight of movie tourism destinations, The Harry Potter series showcased the UK and Ireland as a vibrant destination for a movie tourism.
Gladiator, like many other films that showcased the rich history of Rome, did really more than well with joining other movies to put Rome in the minds of travel enthusiasts and movie lovers.
Well, that Gladiator was in 2000. Today in 2024, we are looking forward to November not because of the Thanksgiving but because of the Gladiator II.
