In the Tampa Bay Hotel: See the past, feel its ambiance

When you impact lives with your passion, you live beyond your death...

Did you know that “on the west bank of the Hillsborough River, there was an impressive structure for visitors to gaze upon as their train pulled into the city of Tampa?”

Yes, would be the answer for some and no, the answer for many others. I am or was in the group of (no) but after reading the book ‘Images of America, Tampa Bay Hotel’ I am now in the group of (yes). Lol.

My visit to this marvel of all hospitality marvels was the definition of ‘mind blowing’. If you love history, you want to see and even feel it, just look for the University of Tampa.

Everything about the Tampa Bay Hotel is in one wing as a museum, the Henry B. Plant Museum.

Humanity explored his magnificent hotel for over forty years of adventure in 1891—1932, according to the book.

My great love for hospitality met with history when I visited the Tampa Bay Hotel. It was indeed a marvel, and yes, “the architectural icon of the city of Tampa”, just as Cynthia Gandee Zinober described it in her foreword of the book.

It is from passion, visions are born. The Tampa Bay Hotel was one of Henry Bradley Plant’s many visions. It is one of the glorious manifestation of his visions for Florida. He is called the King of Florida, the Tampa Bay Hotel is one of the many valid reasons.

History is the glory of tourism. Tourism is the Glory of Florida. If you are a tourist in the state of Florida, explore the history. In every glory, there is a good deal of richness, and The Tampa Bay Hotel is the first hospitality richness.

The Tampa Bay Hotel was a hospitality destination for the world, not just Tampa, let alone Florida. It was an international wonder.
