More than just attending weddings, or helping couples nail down the final details before they get married, Thembisa Mdoda reveals that being a host of Our Perfect Wedding has been quite an elaborate learning curve for her.

During an interview with True Love, the TV personality opened up about how Our Perfect Wedding - Mzansi Magic's hit reality wedding show - has gradually turned her into a marriage-loving woman.
"I’ve learnt a few things that make weddings work and things that make marriages work. I realised that I actually did not know a thing," she told the local publication, after pointing out that there is a clear distinction between a marriage and a wedding.
"And now with each step that I take I’m growing as someone that loves the entity of marriage."
Thembisa also explained that she has picked up a few lessons about planning a wedding on the show.
"I’ve learnt that planning a wedding is a stressful job.  It's a hectic – these couples carry so much on their shoulders because there’s families, distant families, and friends who also want to be seen."
"You need to make sure that it all goes according to plan. You can have a wedding planner, but ultimately the buck stops with you," she added.
Thembisa made her debut on the sixth season of OPW in January this year, after taking over from comedian Tumi Morake, who was allegedly brought back to the show after viewers criticised previous host Ayanda Mpama.
Speaking of her journey thus far, she revealed: "It has been the most amazing journey. It’s also been life changing for me as a woman, artist, and storyteller. It made me realise how emotional I am. In order for me to truly tell the couple’s stories genuinely, I have to let them in and give it my all."
