Yes, marriage is very sweet, but to enjoy the sweetness, you must know the depth of it.
You need God to know how deep your marriage is — yes, your marriage, not your sister’s marriage or your friend’s marriage. Your marriage!
No marriage is the same; every marriage is different to the spouses in it. Terrible foolishness is making some use other marriages to examine their marriage. Wrong!
It’s not all marriages that are what God has joined, no. Many marriages were put together by men, not God.
No marriage put together by God is shaken when there’s a marital earthquake — because a marriage put together by God is sealed on His throne in the third heaven.
No marriage put together by God dances to the rhythms played by men and women. What are the rhythms?
One chief rhythm, embraced so well, is the general and very popular negative phrase or saying, no marriage is perfect. It is now a reason for marriages not to worry about being perfect.
Let alone pursuing it, because according to the general saying, it is not possible. Wrong!
That’s why I called it a negative phrase, oh yes.
A husband will declare to his wife that they’re not perfect — the wife will accept because they’re both candidates for ‘no marriage is perfect’.
They embrace the negative phrase, manifest it in their lives just as many other marriages are doing.
Every marriage must have a standard, and only one standard can ensure perfection in your marriage. The standard of God!
If the standard of God is the standard your marriage is standing on, built on. Truth is a given; transparency is like turning on the lights in your house.
Marital oneness manifests in the truest form of love, the air of marriage, when your marriage has the backing of the Standard of God.
However, for a marriage to have or be in the standard of God, it must be a marriage that asked the consent of God before saying ‘let us’.
As a man, before you proposed to a woman, did you ask God through prayer? You the woman, did you pray asking God before you said yes?
Can you keep your father in the dark about a road trip and call him when your car breaks down, you’re stranded in the middle of nowhere?
No!
As a woman, why would you say yes to a ‘let us’ from a man without asking God and think you could just call Him when you have issues?
Jesus Christ started with prayers and ended with prayers — start your marriage with prayers!
