NY State of Mind Tour 2023: From Queensbridge to Staten Island—to Glasgow

We can all find common ground in music. It wipes out labels we used to divide ourselves negatively and dissolves artificial barriers. Music, of all the things that unite people, is the most revered. The presence weakens divides and their effects.

At the Wu-Tang clan & Nas NY STATE OF MIND TOUR 2023, attendees from different races and age brackets gathered together for something they dearly love.

A unifying art, forgetting their differences, and vibing along, as the MCs delivered classic after classic, from their well extensive discographies.

The OVO HYDRO in Glasgow, Scotland, was the venue, where 12k hip hop devotees and disciples filled up the arena. Despite Hip hop having its origin in the Bronx, New York, and represented as a culture and way of life for black people, the genre is a global delight.

A huge testament was what I experienced on the 12th of June 2023 at the OVO HYDRO, as fans White, black, brown etc sang along line for line, and it was a joy to behold. El Intiminador Uno, a true hip-hop fanatic, revealed this to Godfrey Times.

The American hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan’s first studio album: Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) was in 1993.

According to Britannica, in 1992, Nas’s song “Half Time,” appeared on the soundtrack to the movie Zebrahead, which was the beginning of everything.

Since then, these two embodiments of the power of music—Wu-Tang Clan and Nas—have produced music that has endured beyond generations. At the OVO Hydro, Glasgow displayed this.
