George Ederekumor has been shown the exit door by his employers, Bayelsa United following his involvement in anti club activities, reports Naijasportsxtra.com.ng.
According to an inside source who wouldn’t want his name online said, “It’s true that Coach Ederekumor has been relieved of his duties following his unprofessional conduct.
“He incited players against his senior coaches, as he deliberately arranged for the players transfer to Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, (Heartland FC of Owerri) without the knowledge of the management.
“He even went as far as telling the players to force their move away from the club by whatever means they can.
“After the management’s investigation on the matter, and evidences, it was clear that Ederekumor had broken club rules. So the management had no choice than to axe him.”
Recall the former Nembe City assistant coach was suspended for a similar offense some years ago by Bayelsa United but was recalled after he promised to turn a new leaf.
The Restoration Boys will this weekend host Spartans FC of Agege in a Matchday 3 fixture of the Nigeria National League.
