Renowned female talking-drummer, Ara has been appointed face of the Oyotunji-Nigeria celebration of Arts, Culture and Heritage Tourism 2017.
Having seen, known and acknowledged the influence of Ara's brand of music and how it is highly recognized as a brand that resonates with the Yoruba culture, King of Oyotunji, HRM Oba Adefunmi II appointed Her as the face of the festival.
The event which is coming up in Oyotunji, Sheldon, South Carolina, USA from July to October 2017 is going to be the best ever celebrated in the history of national art, culture and heritage celebrations.
A huge excitement is already trending between the two regions as a result of the appointment and those who know and have heard Ara is a wonder that comes like a thunder, can't wait for the 22 of August to come.
On the 22nd of August, is going to be Ara day. Where there will be Ara concert, screening of Osunfunke produced by Ara, talking drum workshops, and talking drum competition for children etc. participants of the festival are going to feel the power of a brand connected with our belief and how impactfully touristy and immensely influential it is to the engagement of the world with symbols of our unique culture, arts and heritage.
Ara, the very first female talking-drummer in Nigeria, is going to thrill participants of the festival beyond the rhythmic sounds of the sophisticated instrument as so much is packed for the 'Ara Day'.
