Former Miss South Africa Liesl Laurie has opened up about having lost her faith in God at some point in her life, revealing that as a result, she was hardly proud of herself.
Speaking to Essays of Africa recently, the beauty queen explained that she had given up on the "healing power of faith," before turning into someone she was not happy about.
"A few years ago I lost my faith in God," she revealed.
"I came to a point where I had given up on the healing power of my faith and turned into someone I was not necessarily proud of."
However, she has since found her faith again, which she claims has taught her to "trust in God's timing."
"I now know to trust in God’s timing in all spheres of my life, no matter how difficult a situation may appear," she said.
Liesl has recently landed a new gig with Gauteng-based radio station Jacaranda FM. She will be taking over the Sunday 8pm-12am slot. In addition, she has bagged a lucrative deal with XTreme Lashes as the official representative for Africa and South Africa.
