Winnie Mashaba will finally get her FAME Award.
Only hours after popular gospel singer Winnie Mashaba vented her frustration at not yet receiving her FAME Awards gong, the event's organisers have promised she will have it within a month.
Winnie took to Instagram on Wednesday to reveal that she had yet to receive her trophy from the event's organisers, a year after winning the Best Gospel Artist at the inaugural FAME Awards.
Her complaint quickly drew the attention of organisers, who sent her email apologising for the incident, and promised Winnie her trophy by August 5.
Winnie posted the letter on her Instagram, thanking the organisers for resolving the issue.
"A great woman(my mother) once taught me to speak out if I have my facts straight on what is bothering me and also acknowledge when a person is doing the right thing. Thank you Chief Thidiela and FAME Awards for taking my concern into consideration," she wrote.
She went on to add that her message on Wednesday was not meant to be a personal attack on anyone and that she looks forward to finally showing off her trophy to her fans.
