Life surely don’t give what you want or expect .it gives what God permits it to , according to his purpose for us in it(life). Anything that happens that is not permitted by God, is because we are not in his sphere of interest.
To have God’s attention you must be a doer of his word not
just a hearer. Life did not go well for Stephen as he wanted or expected but he
took the bull by the horn the very minute he realized that. He searched around
his environment for an opportunity and he found one.
In Nigeria foreigners
are very comfortable with whatever legal business they are doing and they are
very well positioned with their business. Each country has its place of
residence and they choose this place considering the kind of business they want
to do.
The Gambians chose a place close to the canal because they
were into tie and die, and where they were was the place Stephen resided.
They were the opportunity he found and he approached them and
being a very jolly boy they engaged him in their business.
While working, he would sing songs of Kofi olomide and his employers would encourage him to go on
with his singing because his voice and choice of song was soothing to them but
one day he danced along as he sang
and his employers
were so amazed
, left what they were doing and stared adhesively at Stephen .he was admired
for being so hard working and loved because of his singing and dancing.
When he moved to
another environment with his family, he had to look for something else to do.
Singing at weddings and in bars.
He fell in love with
music at a young age and it’s as a result of watching his elder brother (Hao
Ge) singing and also listens to one of his mentors –Stephen Wonder.
His father a pastor seeing all this did not rebuke him
knowing the strength of one’s God’s purpose in life, and also knowing his
eldest son’s success in the then entertainment capital of Asia.
In 2008 Stephen got
the biggest opportunity in his life when his elder brother arranged for him to
be in a far more developed and advanced country.
As a matter of fact, he has been waiting for that
opportunity, he knew it would come and all he needed was
just to wait
and prepare himself
while waiting.
Knowing very well he would find his way much quicker since
his brother is very much established in the music industry.
Hao di the good little brother
as he is
known
egged on even when things were not as he expected.
But the start of something great happened
to him when he sang a red song in praise of late Chairman Mao Zedong and like
the speed of a whirlwind, it attracted millions on the internet. And that took
off his career in china.
Singing even better than he did back home, hao di made it to the fourth on Star Boulevard,
one of china’s most popular grassroots talent shows.
Known
as a revolutionary singer, he sings Chinese red songs more than most Chinese do.
With the backing of God making ways
for him, hao di has a followership of about
20,000 on China’s biggest micro-blog site –Sino Weibo.
